At home – Your custom home whitening kit from Chelsea Dental Aesthetics involves a special tray that is customized to fit over your teeth. You also receive prescription whitening gel, which you insert into the tray before you wear it. Dr. Blaustein gives you detailed instructions about how long you should wear the tray each day – usually 30 minutes to one hour, or overnight - and you should expect the entire home whitening process to take between two and four weeks, leaving you with a dazzling smile.

Invisalign™ uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-molded to fit your teeth. Using computer aided design software, a series of aligners are created that you will change out approximately every two weeks. Over time, the virtually invisible aligners reposition your teeth without the use of metal braces or bands. Most people will not be able to tell you are in treatment. An entire treatment with Invisalign averages just six months to one year.

A porcelain bridge is created out of metal, alloys or porcelain and utilizes the teeth on both sides of the gap as its supportive structure. After some preparation of the two neighboring teeth, crowns are created for them. A third crown is fused between the other two crowns to fill the gap and the bridge is placed. A bridge is a semi-permanent dental restoration, meaning it can only be removed by a dentist, so you can rest assured that your porcelain bridge will be a lasting restoration to your oral health.

Your teeth undergo a tremendous amount of wear and tear during your lifetime. Teeth may show this wear in a variety of ways, including discoloration, chipping and cracking. Crowns restore your teeth and your smile to look brilliant once again. Porcelain crowns can be made out of porcelain pressed to metal or are porcelain throughout and can be shaded to match your other teeth. Crowns made of precious metal are also an option. For years, silver-mercury was the primary material used by dentists to fill cavities. Today, tooth-colored restorations are superior, both in appearance and in durability. A tooth colored filling is made of a mixture of microscopic ceramic and glass particles dispersed in a plastic resin that can be bonded to teeth. The material comes in a wide range of shades and can be molded and sculpted to create almost any shape or contour. The fact that the resin is bonded means a seal is formed to reduce the chance of leakage, which is common with silver fillings. If you are unhappy with your old, silver fillings, Dr. Blaustein can replace them with tooth colored fillings.

A dental implant is one of the most permanent forms of restorative dentistry and can be used to restore a single tooth or several teeth. Dental implants involve the placement of a surgical grade titanium post directly into your jawbone by Dr. Blaustein, or a trusted specialist.
